My name is Chris and welcome to my site. I have just completed the daunting task of rebuilding our existing residence! It took a lot of patience dealing with the local authorities to get the permissions necessary to complete the project. This was happening while the pandemic was in full swing. Not fun, I can assure you!
Now that build is complete, we are about to embark on the huge and frankly difficult task of decorating!
The choices are many and varied which makes the decision making fun but also time consuming. I hope to show you my choices but also my thought processes in making those choices.
While I’m not a stylist, I have clocked up hours and hours of YouTube videos. I have read dozens of decor magazines and spoken to every person I know, some of whom are stylists to get their opinions and advice. In the end though, only I and my partner can make the final decisions.
We have a modest budget for this phase and I understand that can mean very different things to different people! I understand totally. My intention is to get the most bang for my buck and I’m not afraid to try any DIY projects either.
So, follow along with me as I replace or update my current furniture with items more fitting to our modern build as well the soft furnishings to enhance the look.
Over time I will also be covering other aspects of living a comfortable or ‘hugge’ lifestyle.
